At St. Mark Parish, we are big believers in community outreach and social justice. If you want to get involved, please reach out!
A volunteer ministry of lay people actively involved in community outreach, our committee works together to educate, serve, and foster a sense of loving community with the help of the Holy Spirit. We carry out the work of Jesus in today’s world through various service projects: ‘to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.’
OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The St. Mark Community Outreach Ministry partners with the parish and local organizations to provide spiritual and material support to people in need. We rely on the help of the faithful St. Mark Parish family.
Email the social justice committee or come to a monthly meeting to oversee, evaluate, and recommend policies for our parish outreach program.
If you have an idea for the Community Outreach Ministry, we’d love to hear from you! Please consider joining us! See our parish bulletin for details about meetings and projects.

Giving Tree: A Beloved St. Mark Christmas Tradition
Many families use the experience of Giving Tree shopping to help teach their children the importance of providing for others during the holidays.
Volunteers from the parish’s Community Outreach assess the needs of local homeless shelters and other helping organizations, prepare gift tags, set up the tree, and collect and store the gifts donated by our parishioners. Email the social justice committee if you have questions or would like to volunteer.
