MASS SCHEDULE: COME WORSHIP WITH US


ASH WEDNESDAY MASS ANNOUNCEMENT

Ash Wednesday Masses, with the distribution of ashes, will be celebrated on Wed, Feb 17 at 6:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. in the CHAPEL and 1:30 p.m. in the Church. Please understand that seating will be limited at the 1:30 p.m. Mass because the school children will be in attendance.

Please note that Mass will not be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. on Ash Wednesday.


THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU

St. Mark will be participating once again with other parishes in the Archdiocese of Baltimore with the program called The Light is ON for You, which was instituted by Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien, to promote the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the Lenten Season.

Confessions at St. Mark will be heard by Fr. Whatley and Fr. Bowen during the Five Wednesdays of Lent in the Chapel between 7:00 & 8:30 p.m. to confess your sins and to receive the Gift of Sacramental Absolution.

SPECIAL MASS ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CONFIRMATION

Please note that St. Mark will not celebrate 5:00 p.m. Mass on Feb 28 because the Sacrament of Confirmation is being conferred by Bishop Madden at 3:00 p.m. in the Church on both of those Sundays. Please continue to pray for our 96 Confirmation candidates!



H1N1 FLU LITURGICAL GUIDELINES:

Based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and after consulting with physicians, communicable disease specialists and other health professionals, with federal, state, and local officials as well as other dioceses around the country, the Archdiocese of Baltimore has developed the following guidelines to help prevent any spread of the seasonal flu or the H1N1 (Swine) flu viruses.

What Does the Eucharist Mean to You?

Celebrating the Eucharist is an important part of our faith life at St. Mark Church. We cordially invite you to share the Eucharist with us on the weekends or anytime during the week at the following times:

DAILY MASS (Chapel):
6:30 a.m. & 7:45 a.m.
Monday thru Friday
Rosary: After 7:45 a.m. Mass, Chapel
SATURDAY (Church):
4:00 p.m. – Traditional Music & Mass (Fulfills the Sunday Obligation)
Confessions: 3:00 – 3:45 p.m.* [Excluding Holy Saturday] or by appointment
*Please bear in mind that the priest has to stop hearing confessions at 3:45 p.m. so he can prepare for the celebration of the Eucharist.
Communal Penance is scheduled during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Please consult church bulletin for dates and times.

9:00 a.m. – Family Mass with Children’s Liturgy, Contemporary Music
11:00 a.m. – Traditional Mass, Adult Choir, Mass for the Deaf
