CHURCH MASS INTENTIONS

The St. Mark Church Office accepts intentions for weekday and weekend Mass times. For a $5.00 stipend* (cash or check made payable to “St. Mark Church”), one can schedule a Mass in memory or honor of an individual or family and receive a Mass card. This can be accomplished in one of the following ways:

  • Stop by the Parish Center (30 Melvin Avenue; building next to bell tower) during regular office business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • E-mail Bridget Handel, Parish Secretary: bhandel@stmarkchurch-catonsville.org (preferred way); please mail cash or check to church office (30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228).
  • Call the Parish Secretary: 410-744-6560, ext. 221; please mail cash or check to church office (30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228).

To purchase a mass intention, the Parish Secretary will need to know the name of the deceased (or honoree), the date and time preference for the Mass, and the name of the donor.

This intention will be entered into the “Mass Intentions Book” by the Parish Secretary and be read during the Prayer of the Faithful of the Mass requested by the individual who wishes this intention to be mentioned.

For a Mass intention to be listed in the St. Mark Church bulletins, one must notify the Parish Secretary (410-744-6560, ext. 221) at least two (2) weeks in advance.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the demand of Mass intentions and to ensure the individual’s preference is honored, it is best to call the church office several months in advance, as dates and times fill up quickly.

*The stipend does not represent the value of the Mass! It is the sum of money which is paid directly to the priest and supplements his stipend for living expenses, with the understanding that he will offer the Sacrifice of the Mass for a determined purpose.

Please be rest assured that all Mass intentions will be kept in the prayerful minds of others.
